Here are the Highlights of the article “Exclusive Interview: FundedNext Trader Debajyoti Shares His Journey”:
In a recent FundedNext interview, Debajyoti shared his trading insights and the evolution of his approach. “When I first started, I was mainly a daily trader, holding trades for a maximum of a day. Now, I’ve shifted to swing trading with a focus on weekly timeframes. My current strategy involves analyzing charts over one- or two-month periods, and my trades typically last a week or more,” he explained.
Debajyoti primarily traded GBP/USD, a pair he loves for its volatility, but has since expanded to other major Forex pairs, using technical analysis and trendlines to inform his decisions. His minimum risk-reward ratio is 1:2, but he often aims for higher, depending on market conditions. “If the market is moving well, I may close a trade early at a 1:2.5 or 1:3 ratio. It’s all about adapting to what the market gives you,” he said.
Currently, Debajyoti is backtesting a new strategy, having completed around 50% of his testing. His entry model involves using monthly and weekly trendlines to identify key trading opportunities. Once confirmed, he enters trades on the second 4-hour candle after a trendline break.
While his ultimate goal is to become a full-time trader, Debajyoti balances his part-time trading with his career as a medical representative. He utilizes his free time to refine his strategy and execute trades.
When asked about his experience with FundedNext, Debajyoti was full of praise for the platform. “The backend team is excellent. Whenever I had an issue, like a delay in receiving profits, they resolved it immediately. The trustworthiness of FundedNext’s team is crucial, and they’ve earned my trust,” he shared. Debajyoti has received payouts from FundedNext, with one payout amounting to $1,500, which was processed quickly and efficiently.
To fellow traders, Debajyoti emphasizes the importance of risk management. “Everyone’s strategy is different, but the key is to maintain a solid risk-reward ratio. Even with a 60% success rate, if your risk-reward ratio is 1:2, you can still come out ahead,” he advises. He also highlights the importance of keeping emotions out of trading decisions, a lesson every trader should heed.
